GP Registrars are fully qualified and registered doctors, i.e. they have completed medical school and a minimum of 2 years rotations in the hospitals. They are currently on a 2 year GP speciality training course, which involves further rotations to various GP clinics under a GP supervisor. All GPs must undergo this training before they are able to practice independently. At Nunawading Clinic, we feel privileged to be part of their formative years and share our knowledge and experience as they rotate through the clinic. GP registrars are likely to be preparing for their examinations and are up to date with the latest guidelines on patient management. The majority of the GPs consulting from Nunawading Clinic were actually previous registrars who trained at the clinic and decided to base themselves here once they Fellowed.
